One of the best nights on the town--replete with food, drink and music—awaits connoisseurs and novices alike at the Toast of the Town wine and restaurant tasting event on Friday, May 20, at the National Building Museum (401 F Street).
Indulge in a sensation for your senses with an evening of wines, spirits and live jazz—the David Bach Quartet will offer cool jazz for a hot night—paired with culinary creations from top area restaurants. The pickings aren’t slim. You can taste more than 500 world-class wines, spirits and signature dishes, including those from Downtown’s Capital Grille (601 Pennsylvania Avenue), Bistro Bis (15 E Street), SEI (444 7th Street), The Fourth Estate (529 14th Street), Ici Urban Bistro (806 15th Street), Matchbox (713 H Street), and even Crumbs Bake Shop (604 11th Street).
The fee for the Grand Tasting, which takes place from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, is $109 per person. It’s $169 per person for the VIP Tasting, which occurs from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. VIP patrons also have exclusive access to hundreds of reserve wines, the opportunity to talk intimately with the wine makers and interact with the restaurateurs.
