Remember that 120-day fuel surcharge first imposed last March to help DC cabbies battle rising gasoline prices? Well, it might not be going away. In fact, it was extended in late July through November 17. Think it’ll be extended again? Just check gasoline prices, on a slight downward spiral earlier this fall, now climbing again, for a possible answer. In the meanwhile, keep an extra buck per ride in your pocket when using a DC taxicab for all rides that originate in the city.
