Release Date: Tuesday, January 31st 2012

Looking to significantly reduce your building’s energy consumption and costs? Join the DowntownDC BID and CoR Advisors, an energy management and intelligent buildings systems integrator, for the 2012 Building Energy Summit, scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 15, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center (1300 Pennsylvania Avenue). Attendees will leave with a step-by-step roadmap for benchmarking their buildings, monitoring real time energy usage, evaluating operational data and much more.

District Department of the Environment Director  Christophe A. G. Tulou greets DBID Executive Director Richard H. Bradley at the DBID sponsored 2010 Eco-District Summit.

“The DowntownDC ecoDistrict is positioned to lead the nation in energy efficiency,” said Richard H. Bradley, the BID’s executive director. “This conference will provide a valuable forum in which to share information, launch the White House Better Buildings Challenge in DC, and work with building owners and managers to take advantage of many different cost savings and energy reduction resources.”

The Summit will provide keynote presentations by industry leaders and energy experts, educational breakout sessions, case studies of some of the area’s most efficient buildings, which have slashed energy costs by up to 40%, and networking opportunities.

By embracing the White House Better Buildings Challenge, DC can collectively reduce energy consumption 20% by 2020. Get more information and register for the Summit.
