When Elisir (427 11th Street), Downtown’s newest Italian restaurant, officially opens on December 1 for lunch (dinner service begins on December 3), expect to see hotshot chef Enzo Fargione everywhere, literally. Besides working in a show kitchen, he will dazzle diners and Internet surfers alike in a whole new way. An overhead camera at the chef’s station will record his every move, beaming his flips, pounds and stirs on monitors placed throughout the restaurant and sending live feeds into cyberspace. With methods like these, who needs a TV show? As for food, expect two tasting menus and limited a la carte options. Bread, desserts and pastas will be made in house.
