Say farewell to Sunday service, at the library that is. Beginning October 2, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library (901 G Street) will no longer open on Sundays due to fiscal year 2012 budgetary cuts. Don’t despair. Library users can still place books on hold, download electronic books, research electronic databases, reserve meeting rooms, and use live online homework help through the library’s website at www.dclibrary.org, both during and after library hours. Speaking of hours, note the library’s new ones: Monday and Tuesday, noon to 9:00 pm; and Wednesday through Saturday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
