This year thousands of metropolitan Washington area residents will promote alternatives to car dependence and reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impacts on Car Free Day, first observed in DC last year. Also join in the Car Free Day Street Celebration, replete with live music, free bike tune-ups and T-shirts and SmartBike test rides, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at 7th and F Streets NW.
