Jose Canales is the December Maintenance SAM of the month.  Jose is originally from El Salvador and has been with the BID for nine years.  He is a devoted family man and father of five who works tirelessly removing graffiti, gum and posters around the BID.  Always dedicated to keeping Downtown clean and beautiful – this spring you may find Jose planting a tree, watering plants, or assisting in any number of projects that may come his way.  

The December Safety Hospitality SAM of the month is Alvin S. Chase, III.  Born and raised in DC, Alvin is the proud father of four sons and a loving husband to his wife of 16 years.  Having been with the BID for seven years, Alvin is proud to lead by example and learn as much as he can from peers, supervisors and educational seminars.
