Former location of the Convention Center, CityCenterDC is the vacant 10-acre area, contained between New York Avenue, 9th, 11th, and H Streets NW in downtown's East End. It has been used as a concert venue, art installation, holiday market, intercity bus hub, and currently home base for the Washington Kastles - DC's tennis team.
Development plans signal a transformation that will enhance the civic, cultural and economic opportunities of Downtown DC and create a vital, all-encompassing permanent mixed-use community center where all can live, work, shop, celebrate, and learn.
