Chinatown - Neighborhood

Chinese Lunar New Year

700 G St NW
7th & G St
Washington, DC 20001

A small neighborhood, Chinatown is marked by the beautiful Friendship Arch, a gift from the people of Beijing to the United States. The free-standing Mandarin arch contains 7,000 pieces of glazed tile, golden carved dragon panels and an engraved marble center panel. Between 6th & 8th Sts at G & H Sts NW, Chinatown contains many of the town's Asian restaurants. Some favorites are Tony Cheng's Mongolian and Hunan Chinatown. It is also the location of the Chinese New Year's Day parade.
