Blake Real Estate Building: Green Roof Top

Blake Real Estate

1425 K St NW
Washington, DC 20001

On the corner of Vermont and K Streets with views of McPherson Park, Franklin Park and The White House the building features a dramatic corner rotunda, private balconies, floor to ceiling windows, a fitness center, and DC's first high-elevation green roof in an urban commercial zone. The 3500 square feet rooftop serves as a high quality and visible research and demonstration project for a cost effective and proven green technology.

The 1425 K Street Greenroof is the result of a partnership between Casey Trees & DC Greenworks, Covenant House – and the building owner and property manager, Blake Real Estate. The project is funded by grants from the DC Department of Health and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
