Complimentary express massages and more at our PARK(ing) Day lounge

PARK(ing) Day is returning to the District of Columbia on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, from 9 am to 4 pm.

This year, the BID is participating in this annual holiday to promote urban open spaces by providing a free Downtown relaxation oasis with complimentary professional chair massages, a meditative coloring station featuring images of DowntownDC’s Fancy Animal Carnival, free chocolates and giveaways, and snacks provided by honeygrow (716 7th Street) and KIND snacks. Guests can stop by between 9am-4pm to take advantage of these free benefits.

While there, learn more about a reimagined 7th Street that could create more pedestrian areas, provide seating and other new aesthetics.

District residents and businesses put their creativity on display for last year’s event, building more than 30 pop-up parks in curbside parking spaces.

In past years, D.C. parking spots have featured free food and drinks, games, classes, exercise, art, unique seating arrangements, and many more surprises.
