The Culturfied Foundation is excited to present The Culturfied International Children’s Festival at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM.

This premiere festival is a one-day, interactive, educational event that is FREE of cost and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

WHO WE ARE:

We are pleased to invite you to be part of the re-launch of The International Children’s Festival. This Festival is different from anything in the DC community. It is unique in that it collaborates with the embassies and focuses on children, encouraging and nurturing their understanding of the world as a whole and is designed to introduce children to different cultures and traditions. We at the Culturfied Foundation, a Washington, DC based non-profit dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding, are proud to follow in the footsteps of The Meridian International Center, which last held the festival in 2012, attracting more than 6,000 participants. We believe that the need for such a child-focused cross-cultural event, and thus its popularity and reputation, will only grow, and we are honored to bring it back to Washington audiences.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE:

This year’s theme, “Universal Explorers,” is designed to provide Washington and surrounding area families with a unique exposure to international customs from a wide variety of cultures, all conveniently located in one central location. Every child will become a ‘global explorer’ and will have the opportunity to:

  • Travel from booth to booth to get passport stamped
  • Sample international cuisine
  • Make traditional arts and crafts
  • Learn about the diverse traditions and world geography
  • Try on attire of countries around the world
  • Enjoy international dance, music, and comedic acts. Many groups will delight children and their families by  inviting them on stage for interactive lessons.
