Incendio
Latino Jazz from Los Angeles

Incendio,  which means “fire” in Italian started working together in 1999 in the vanguard of Southern California’s burgeoning nuevo flamenco movement with principle players bassist Liza Carbé and guitarists Jean-Pierre "J.P." Durand and Jim Stubblefield.

Incendio’s members Carbé, Durand and particularly Stubblefield are grateful to be still on the scene, after giving close to 200 performances a year throughout the Western United States and supported by a multigenerational following of fans whose tastes range from jambands and jazz to fado and folk, in addition to the smooth jazz field to which the new CD Seduction is directed.

The Jazz in the Garden Series is a free concert series featuring an array of artists performing various styles of jazz from swing to progressive to Latin every Friday evening at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden come rain or shine.

Concerts are held inside the Pavilion Café in case of inclement weather. To learn more about Jazz in the Garden concerts and performers, please call (202) 289-3360.
