In celebration of the new exhibition, the Smithsonian American Art Museum presents classic films that reflect the values of community, family, and patriotism found in the artworks of Rockwell and the movies of Lucas and Spielberg.
Longfellow Deeds (Gary Cooper) is a simple man who inherits $20 million and ends up defending his own sanity in court after attempting to give the money to those less fortunate than himself. Directed by Frank Capra (118 minutes, 1935).
