The District Architecture Center's first exhibition in its new building Odd: A Building in Penn Quarter will explore the life and times of the Odd Fellows Temple Building, the historic home of Washington DC’s Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and new home to AIA|DC and the Washington Architectural Foundation. The exhibition opens at DAC’s Sigal Gallery.

The exhibition will spotlight the IOOF Temple’s architectural significance and highlight some of the building’s recognized occupants who have helped shape the now-called Penn Quarter neighborhood during the past ninety-five years. Illustrated by historical images and data, visitors will experience the historic building through a contemporary lens that reveals both the past and present in a unique and fun manner giving recognition to the new home of the District Architecture Center. Odd: A Building in Penn Quarter inaugurates the 2012 Exhibition Program organized by the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration required.
