Franchising is a great alternative for entrepreneurs who are not willing to start from scratch. You have the ability to operate your own business while working under an established brand with experience and knowledge that you can gain through the company’s training programs.

In this edition of DB2.0, panelists will cover the legal aspects of franchising and how to manage and grow your franchise. Hear from 7-Eleven representatives on expansion plans and the franchising process for the company.

Panelists include:

Thomas France, partner - Venable, LLP
Ben Litalien, founder and principal, Franchisewell, LLC
Desi Desormeaux, franchise sales rep, 7-Eleven
Nancy A Wade, senior real estate representative, 7-Eleven

Registration and networking at 8:30 am and the program begins at 9:00 am.

DoingBusiness2.0 is an initiative of the Washington, DC Economic Partnership directly drawn from the Doing Business in DC publication. The publication is a step-by-step guide for entrepreneurs on how to start or expand a business in DC. Speakers include regional university faculty members, business professionals from DC business resource centers, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs with successful business ventures. DoingBusiness2.0 is an asset for both start-ups and existing businesses, and is offered at no cost to the attendee. Entrepreneurs and business owners will gain access to some of the city’s top thought-leaders and have the opportunity to network with panelists and other attendees. In WDCEP’s effort to attract, retain and grow businesses in the District, this initiative is an essential educational tool and resource for all those doing business in the nation’s capital.
