Norwegian Jazz Guitarist
Guitarist/Composer Bjorn Solli was born in Norway in 1979 and is now based in New York. He was voted “young Norwegian jazz musician of the year” in 2002 and has since won numerous awards throughout Europe, including soloist prizes in Belgium, Monaco and Spain, audience prizes in Switzerland and Spain, and a composition prize in France.
The Jazz in the Garden Series is a free concert series featuring an array of artists performing various styles of jazz from swing to progressive to Latin every Friday evening at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden come rain or shine.
