As a kick off to the Better Buildings Challenge, the DC Building Energy Summit, hosted by the DowntownDC ecoDistrict is part of an effort to transform DC into one of the nation’s most energy efficient cities. The goal of the ecoDistrict is to collectively reduce DC's energy consumption by 20% by the year 2020. Building by building, owners and managers will be equipped with the tools they need to significantly reduce energy consumption and costs, and ultimately save money.

The summit will present a detailed roadmap to sustainability. Topics covered will include both supply and demand side energy strategies and how to:

  • purchase energy,
  • monitor and benchmark energy usage,
  • evaluate building operations,
  • implement efficient solutions, and
  • integrate with the smart grid.

The Summit will feature keynote presentations by industry leaders, hands-on educational breakout sessions, case studies, and networking opportunities for colleagues and solution providers.

Online registration is available.
